Folk hero
Tonight Edith and I had a CD on in the background while we played a Thomas the Tank Engine card game.
"I want to be with that grandpa," Edith said suddenly.
I asked what grandpa she was talking about. She gestured toward the CD player. "With the grandpa who is singing. I want to be with him."
I wonder how many generations of children have listened to Pete Seeger and just wanted to be with him, a part of his world.

That's awesome. I listened to Pete Seeger when I was little (had a couple records of my very own). And one of my favorite things now is to hear the theme song of a program on Albany's public radio station, WAMC called "On the Media Project." The song is Pete Seeger singing (with banjo, of course) about newspapermen, and the kinds of characters they encounter.
It was great to see you the other day in Princeton!
