White Christmas
On the way to church in New Jersey:
After the children's service:
We walked out of church, and it was snowing! By the time the girls and I got through our train commute and were back home (Tom stayed for more services and teddy bear deliveries to area hospitals), it was a winter wonderland.
As we reached the front door of the school and I was musing on what kind of pasta I could whip up for the girls, I got a text from our next-door neighbors, inviting us to come dine on the remains of their French feast. (We seem to keep meeting great American/European couples wherever we move.) The girls played with our little neighbor, Romane, who has been their boon companion most days since school ended:
We read 'Twas the Night before Christmas by the main fireplace, the one that Santa surely will use to enter the building before coming upstairs to the apartments.
Merry Christmas, all!
