All circuits firing

Two more good moments, one from each girl.

1. Edith, in her first day at after-school robotics class, as described by her teacher:

She was so cute today. You know, she missed the first meeting last week? So I was having the other girls teach her what they learned about how electricity works and how to use the Snap Circuits. We were asking, 'So do you get it, Edith?' She was sitting there, staring into space. Then she just turned her head and said, 'That is so cool."

(Edith's second-grade teacher has long had a passion to get a robotics/design program up and running for elementary-school girls. She realized the vision this fall, and it appears to be a wild success, growing from one group after-school each to week to three full after-school classes every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.)

2. Alice, at dinner:

"Why is nana a nice word and boo-boo is a nice word, but nana-na-boo-boo is not a nice word?"

And YES, as of Sunday, we have a four year old in the house!

We seem to have hit birthday party nirvana this year--or as close as a preschool birthday party might ever reasonably be expected to come. Pictures and post to follow.
