Straight into summer

...Do not pass go, do not collect spring blossoms.

We were just enjoying the early flowers--daffodils, tulips, forsythia--when we plunged directly into rose-and-sunflower weather, temps in the 80s and 90s for the past four days. Here's hoping we're not already in full summer swing for the duration but that a bit of spring comes back again.

In the meantime, Alice has experienced the warmest days of her winter-baby life. They've brought with them her first night's sleep in short sleeves and her first bath that didn't involve our turning up the heat and rushing through the washing to keep her from getting chilled. And don't forget her first softball game.

Hangin' out before the heat wave, 4 months old

Month five, it's gotta be toes!

First visit to the fountain this season

...and the second visit, too

Watching from the sidelines

In Daddy's office

Attending church barefoot

A visit with Carol, our favorite waitress, who was glad of an excuse to sit down for awhile, since the a/c wasn't on at the diner

Staying in the shade at the softball game

People comment on Alice's piercing blue eyes the way they used to comment on baby Edith's thick golden hair

I haven't read you guys in forever! We like Ramona of course, but I think he likes Henry better...more talk about bikes, dogs and clubhouses. Great pictures, Gwen and Alice do look a bit alike...I guess its the 5 month thing. I'll post a couple of pictures to thew blog so you can see.
