Update: A-student
Biophysical profile aced.
When I lay down on the table and the ultrasound tech looked at my dates, she exclaimed, "What! Forty-one weeks, four days? What are they waiting for?"
Then she did the exam and changed her tune. "This baby just isn't ready to come out," she said cheerfully. The baby is moving a great deal, has a great heart rate, is making whatever the proper "breathing" motions are in utero, and despite an estimated weight closing in on 9 pounds (note: these are up to 15% off at this stage) still has plenty of amniotic fluid and room to move. We even saw her blinking her eyes and putting a hand to her chubby cheek. Oh, and she is indubitably a girl.
So we're home again, with no excuse to avoid a weekend of Christmas preparations. And like others in this season, we'll keep awaiting the birth of the baby.
But I do think I need a new shirt to wear to church this Sunday that says, "No, really, how are you?"

Wow! Definitely saying a prayer that Gridy will make her appearance soon!
Good baby for acing tests (she has that down early) -- poor mama for suffering so baby can ace tests!
Just think, this baby WILL be out by Christmas! (okay, 20 days away, maybe not encouraging...)
