Photography by Mor-mor
We recently received copies of some great photos from Mor-mor's week here in Princeton taking care of Edith, in which she was joined by Grandpa at the end of the week. So a retrospective from the beginning of the month:
...and then to have her undivided attention for a week of all sorts of games, stories, and adventures. Here Mor-mor is probably trying to come up with a family story she hasn't told yet. Given a space in the conversation, Edith will demand the story of a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or cousin and will dictate whether it should be happy, silly, etc. With her grandparents in town, she had two new sources of stories, to her great delight.
We took Mor-mor out to show her the farm where we have our vegetable share, which includes fresh flowers. Trying to get Desi and Edith both looking at the camera at the same time was a bit tricky.
Among her other acts of generosity, Mor-mor took our car to get some work done, then took Edith back to our old playground while they waited for it to be finished.
When Grandpa arrived, he performed one of his own acts of kindness in reading Edith a non-stop procession of Thomas books at Barnes & Noble, while Tom and I slipped away to walk down the mall by ourselves for twenty minutes.
