Page boy

I realized I hadn't posted any pictures since Edith got her haircut a few weeks ago. It looks pretty sharp and is getting comments even from people who are meeting her for the first time. My grandmother Opal would have called it a page-boy cut. At her memorial service in Missouri two weekends ago, members of the extended family were recalling pictures of their mothers and aunts in the 1920s and 30s with the same cut.

Some images from the last few weeks.

POST-CUT

Hanging out with friend Sian on the playground

After daycare the neighborhood playground fills up, as all the kids and their parents stream down the block to the happening Happy Hour spot for the toddler set. Note that Edith swings "high like a big girl" now, while Tom practices his coordination keeping Sian and Edith each at her preferred swinging height.

Sleeping Beauty awaits the magic kiss

In the hotel pool in Missouri, an even better place to be Ariel than on dry land

Edith and her fourth cousin, Rowan, discovered they share the same birthday, a year apart. I think it's pretty cool that Edith knows some of her fourth cousins, period. (Sorry about the backlighting.)

Being silly with Uncle Peter

Being silly with Mor-mor

At this past weekend's Communiversity Day Edith got a few tips from the Princeton mascot on how to be a good tiger, handy for her school play tomorrow night

Checking out the fire truck

But taking the ride to the fire very seriously

The first time Edith was brave enough to go on a bouncy thing. She loved it.

Finally, some pictures of Princeton in spring. Could there be a better season?

Oh how pretty the campus looks right now! I want to come visit again. And I love the pageboy cut. It somehow makes her look a little younger, a little more babyfaced; probably not a bad thing right now as mama faces nostalgia at how fast her little girl is growing. :) - Kinnari

Wonderful pictures, as usual. And spring at Princeton looks a lot like spring at Northeastern -- I'm with you, SO delighted that it's finally arrived. :)

Hope there's an opportunity to see you folks sometime soon! :)
