Happy belated Easter

Our digital camera's battery died shortly before Easter, and it proved impossible to find a new one in any brick-and-mortar stores. We were still waiting for the mail-order replacement battery to arrive come Easter, so we got out the regular 35mm camera, which is why our pictures are delayed. Remember the concept of developing time? A blessed Easter season to all.

At church on Easter morning

With her friend, Josh. Unfortunately the flash was taking an eon to warm up, because 10 seconds earlier they were looking at each other with the most delighted expression.

A sore finger intruded on the family Easter photo

And an Easter photo retrospective:

2006

Edith just that week had decided that walking was her preferred form of locomotion.

Church friends generously had us over for Easter dinner this year. They sought to create spring cheer inside with some choice cuttings to counteract the chill outdoors. Trivia bit: Easter will never come as early again as this year in any of our lifetimes. Thank goodness. It's harder to celebrate the joy of rebirth with a heavy winter coat on.

Success in the egg hunt! Today--

--and yesterday (2006).

Great pictures! Isn't it fun to go back and compare the years??

She looks SO grown-up and beautiful. I can't believe they're going to turn three, but then I see pictures like these, and yeah, they look it. (Sniff, sniff.) - Kinnari
