Playwriting debut

An email note received from Edith's daycare director yesterday began:

Dear Parents and Friends,
It is that time of the year again! Dupree Center for Children will present their spring program entitled, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" Thursday evening, May 3, at 6:30 PM in the Main Lounge of Mackay. This year's program is scripted by the children themselves....

I have been trying to imagine what this will look like.

"Do you think the Young Toddlers' sequence will be about Elmo or trucks?" I asked Tom.

At which point Edith began to sing, "Elmo trucks, Elmo trucks, Elmo trucks..."

I guess that answers that.
