Wearin' o' the green

Edith's party got a bit wild

Did I say something about the arrival of spring weather? Tempting the gods. After waiting out 24 hours of pelting frozen ice and snow on Friday, we greeted St. Patrick's Day with a turn on the golf course...sledding.

At the St. Patrick's Day party at school on Thursday, Edith's class was supposed to be playing with Ziplocs full of green Cool Whip--emphasis on the Ziploc. At some point, she cautiously decided to sample the innards.

Good choice...

Maybe it was the messy endeavor at school that inspired her to be freer with her art at home later in the weekend

Having temporarily abandoned the effort to get Edith to wear barrettes, ribbons, headbands, or ponytails, I took her for a haircut this weekend instead, as she had gotten too shaggy to let go otherwise. Wash-and-go simplicity for the modern woman...

The snow sure was a surprise. But, it looks like Edith had fun. We'll have to try the golf course for sledding (hopefully, next winter).

Hope you don't mind if we subscribe. I found your site on SIP's blogroll.
