The last thing summer tourists see as they leave downtown Manitou:
What the sky looked like to the north during a hailstorm/tornados to the east:
I tried to capture the deep gray, purple, and red of the eastern storm clouds themselves, but my camera skills failed me. Bizarrely, what did show up in the photo was the moon, invisible to the naked eye:
What the sky looked like when I pivoted 90 degrees to shoot up our street:
And another 90 degrees toward the west:
While Colorado Springs' softball-sized hailstorms and flash floods apparently made national news, we knew nothing of it all until the paper arrived the next morning.

Way to go, Edith! (When you leave, do you think they might give you that banner as a souvenir of your sojourn in M.S.?)
How awesome that Edith's artwork was chosen for one of the town banners! That is so cool!
