Holiday tour, part 2: DE (with side trip to DC)

After a pleasant day's ride up the coast on Amtrak we arrived in Delaware, where there were more presents to open...

...and relatives to catch up with...

...best of all: COUSINS!

There were also aunts to read to...
...and New Year's Eve to try to stay up for.

There was a special Sunday morning on which the newest baby cousin was baptized...
...and all the older cousins got to help wrap her in a christening blanket made for her by the congregation.
There were chic new shades to don...

...art projects to complete...

...and beaches for the landlocked to visit, even on December 31.
There were horses to feed!
And one day there was a trip to Washington where, depending on who you were, there were  job interviews to attend, children to marshal through a crowded museum, or brass monkeys to befriend.
What more could one ask?

Looks like great fun! Nice to see all the cousins -- they've all gotten so big!

I like the pic of Tom on the sofa talking with an older relative -- glad to see he's got his American Girl doll with him there. :)

Fingers crossed for you on the job interviews (and the brass monkey friendship, too, of course).
