Non-parents: How often does your day start with a frontal attack?

A few days ago.

A, waking up grouchy: MomMMEEEE!! MomEEEEE!!!

Me, eventually going in: Good morning.

A: I'm NOT GOING to camp today.

Me: That's fine; it's Saturday. There's no camp.

A, scowling: Fine. Then I'm NOT GOING yesterday! I hate you.

One of those moments when I was reminded that the problem isn't always mine. But good grief, is it exhausting.

Not going yesterday is CLASSIC. Not that it makes it easier to deal with first thing in the morning, but it's funny now!
