superhero theme? Edith is so awesome. Happy happy to all of you.
Good eyes, A. Yes, it may be the only cake ever topped with abundant pink sugar flowers and the Avengers. I felt it was a sign of eight-year-old maturity that when we arrived at the bakery to pick up the cake and found that our instructions for a superhero cake had somehow resulted in pink sugar flowers and pink curlicues (guess gender norms trump written instructions!), Edith shrugged and said we could stick the superheros on ourselves.
Nice. Love the cake, and her reaction to the mixup. :) (I know I had at least one birthday around that age where all the paper plates, cups, party hats, etc. had Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman on them...) Happy birthday to Edith! :)
