Literary analysis, part II
Resolved: Ramona Quimby is worser than Eloise.
I'm ready to challenge her on that one. Next week's debate, however, will find us on the same side:
Resolved: The Herdman kids* are badder than Ramona.
Though I can imagine an interesting interdisciplinary freshman seminar paper that would perform careful textual analysis, interspersed with material from psychology, to make the opposite case.
The real debate, it seems to me, is the Herdmans versus Eloise. But Edith hasn't ventured a position on that one yet.

I must say I agree with Edith....as Ramona seems perfectly aware of all her naughtiness (she KNOWS completely that it is not right to squeeze the entire tube of toothpaste into the sink). Eloise simply lives in a world without limits and exploits that. Nanny might scold a bit if Eloise wasted a tube of toothpaste, but it wouldn't be a big deal at all.
